My path to Malley... I began teaching in 2015 in Jefferson County Public Schools teaching 1st and 2nd grade. Additionally, I taught 6th grade at a local private school. I am so excited to be a part of the Malley team and to be your child’s 1st-grade teacher! I earned a Bachelor's Degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver, a Master's Degree in Reading, and a Master's in teaching the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learner from Regis University. I am a Colorado Native and enjoy everything Colorado has to offer. I am married to my wonderful husband, Tim and we have two children Siara and Drake. Part of our family is our labrador retriever named Franklin, our Boston terrier named Mogley and our cat Penny. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, and crafting. I am thrilled to be starting on this year’s journey with your child. I look forward to watching your child learn, grow, and have a fantastic time in 1st grade.
Teaching and what it means to me... Every child is unique and learns in their own way. It is my responsibility to understand each child as an individual and to help them to grow academically and develop as a learner.
Things that make me smile... Dogs and cats who are happy and healthy, beautiful sunsets, Snoopy, children playing and laughing, and Bronco Sundays.
Things that inspire me... Antique furniture and historic homes, dancing to fun music, sandy beaches, and blue ocean water.
